Audeamus – Providing highly skilled and effective Certified service dogs to persons traumatized in the line of duty (PTLD) and whose quality of life depend on them.
CVets Pets – Provides kits to Veterans and First Responders who own a service dog.
Can Praxis – Equine therapy program assisting soldiers with PTSD to regain and strengthen family relationships.
Canadian Legacy Project – An advocate organization for our veterans, we support them by creating programs and events to help improve their everyday lives.
Canadian Veteran Service Dog Unit – Provides trained service dogs and support to military and first responder veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Operational Stress Injury (OSI).
Field of Crosses – One of the Canadian Legacy Project initiatives, over 3,400 crosses are placed along Memorial Drive in Calgary, AB from Nov 1 – 11 each year. Each cross represents — and bears the name of — a solider from Southern Alberta who lost their life serving their country.
Helmets to Hardhats Canada – Designed to provide an opportunity in Canada for anyone who has served (or is currently serving and looking to transition to a civilian career) in either the Regular or Reserve Force Components of the Canadian Forces.
Homes to Heroes Foundation – The program will provide homes, a community of peers, a support structure designed to meet individual needs, and a sense of place and belonging. The goal is to provide the framework needed to ensure a successful transition for military veterans into civilian life.
Vet Fit – One of the Canadian Legacy Project initiatives, they have partnered with GoodLife Fitness to offer retired Canadian Armed Forces personnel (whom have been honourably discharged and no longer serving) significantly discounted fitness memberships to any GoodLife Fitness location across Canada.
Veterans Association Food Bank – The Veterans Food Bank of Calgary is a Calgary Non-Profit organization whose mission is to provide food and essentials to Veterans and Military members in need of assistance. It is run by Veterans for Veterans.
Wounded Warriors Canada – Canada’s leading, wholly independent, Veteran’s charity focusing on mental health.
