CANADA’S VETERANS

Canadian men and women have fought and died in many wars, and participation in peacekeeping missions have also been a part of Canada’s history.

In addition to those who have served in these wars, our First Responders can also pay a heavy price for their duty and dedication in helping others.

  • 68,166 died and 138,166 wounded
  • 2,988 were prisoners of war
  • 175 Merchant Seamen died

South African War

1899 – 1902
